About the Circular Bioeconomy category

Circular Economy

  • Design out waste and pollution
  • Keep products and materials in use
  • Regenerate natural systems

Circular Economy is an alternative system to the dominating linear economy of “Take, Make, Waste”.
It seeks to maintaining the value of products as long as qualitatively and economically possible and desirable.
The goal is to create value by optimising product design and innovative business models to enable multiple use cycles before recycling. (Source: Chris Rudolph, Co:dify).

In the workshop we discussed about our understanding of the term “Circular (bio)economy”, best practices were introduced (above all the success story of Kalundborg Industrial Symbiosis by Per Møller) and possibilities for funding of related projects were shown. We like to welcome and invite all of you to further discuss this topic here at the platform or in direct contact with us or others.
