Paper Province and Food & Biocluster Denmark invite SMEs to a bootcamp with the title * Attract capital to grow and develop your business* This is done in the projects MPowerBIO and BioeconomyVentures.
MPowerBIO and BioeconomyVentures are organizing a 2-day intensive bootcamp for SMEs working in the Bioeconomy sector (like Agrifood, Agritech, Food, Feed, Nutrition, Forestry, Fishing and Food Wastes sectors) in order to empower them with the particular set of skills that private investors are looking for in the companies they finance. The Bootcamp will take place on-site at E-Village, Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden.
Starting in the afternoon, the first day of the bootcamp will include a practical training on how to present themselves in front of an investor and a Pitching Academy, whereby each SME will pitch their project for 5 minutes and get valuable feedback from experts. The second day is dedicated to the Pitching Competition, during which the SMEs will have the opportunity to pitch their “just polished” ideas in front of a jury of experts in the field. One of the jury members will be Micael Simonsson, Director Processing Development at Tetra Pak. The winners, the best 3 pitches of the competition, will be awarded a ticket to the MPowerBIO Final Pitching Competition “Tech Tour Bioeconomy 2022”, which will be held on 5th October, 2022 in Wuppertal, Germany, along with their travelling expenses (up to 250 EUR per project). There, they will pitch to active investors in the bioeconomy sector, be assessed by the Panel of Experts, personally meet with investors/ corporates and network with the key players in the field.
